CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Although kids don't want to start thinking about going back to school yet, it's a good bet their parents are.
For some families, however, the thoughts turn to concern over how they're going to pay for all of the school supplies their children need.
The Gaston County Firefighters Association is holding a school supplies drive through August 23rd.
They are asking anyone who can, consider sponsoring a child for $25. That will provide the supplies they need for the year.
Citizens can also donate the supplies themselves and those can be dropped off at any fire department in Gaston County and the City of Gastonia.
