CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – It's official, the Charlotte 49ers have solidified their football helmet design. Head Coach, Brad Lambert, unveiled the newest gem of excitement Wednesday morning.
Different Charlotte colors were used, like a dark green, but the final decision was a pearl white with specks of 49er green.
Coach said it was the overwhelming favorite amongst staff and the recruiting class of players. He felt the white really helped the 49er logo stand out.
The presentation was held in front of the under-construction stadium. The 49ers will begin competition in the fall of 2013 with the inaugural game scheduled for August 31 at the new stadium.
