Noble gesture from the star of Batman

Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 11:00PM— quite a noble gesture from Christian Bale, the star of the new Batman movie, as he visited some of the survivors of the Colorado shooting.  As Bale offered comfort to those trying to recover, police are scratching their heads over what caused the alleged killer James Holmes to open fire in a crowded theater.  CBS News is reporting authorities have combed through Holmes' computer and interviewed his friends, but so far, no motive attached to the 24-year old who recently withdrew from a college honors program.

We're hearing from an 84-year woman who accidentally drove into a pond, then spent the next 30 hours on the roof of her Jeep before help arrived.  Wait until you hear what she says she prayed for the Lord not to do.

If you're feeling a bit "ghoulish" and want a part time job in the fall, try your luck at this week's auditions for SCarowinds.  The park is looking to hire 500 people for its Halloween-themed event each fall which runs from September 14-October 28.  Check the Carowinds web site to register.
