Neighbors say Charlotte elected official's property an eyesore

Good afternoon, Maureen O'Boyle here in the WBTV newsroom.  Here are some of the stories we're working on for 5:00!

It might be sunny out your window, but there are two big weather systems moving across our area.  The mountains and foothills are already getting a taste of this system with lots of rain and lighting.  But there is even bigger concern for a second wave coming.  We've got the best team of meteorologists in the First Alert Weather Center tracking where these storms are heading!

A See Click Fix investigation took our team to a street in east Charlotte where neighbors say a house has become an eyesore, with grass uncut and weeds overtaking the garden.  We were surprised to find the property is owned by a Charlotte elected official.   What happened when we tried to get the problem fixed, at five!

Three men from Charlotte arrested after police say a routine traffic stop uncovered a stash of heroine inside a spare tire!  This bust will take a dent out of one dealer's sales, but there are more addicts waiting for more drugs.  Why Charlotte is a heroin hub and why now?

I hope you'll join Paul Cameron, Eric Thomas, me and the rest of the WBTV news team tonight at 5:00!! Be safe!
