Former University of North Carolina Receiver Hakeem Nicks, may never forget his 2008 record breaking season in Chapel Hill but his Alma Mater will be doing so. The memories will be there forever, of course, but on paper an asterisk will appear next to Nicks' name.
He received improper academic help from a tutor during the 2008 season, so the school has declared him academically ineligible.
Currently a wide receiver for the Defending Superbowl Champions, the New York Giants, Nicks set Tar Heel records in career yards receiving, career touchdown receptions, and yards receiving in 2008.
