A cold front moving into the area today could bring with it the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and early this evening.
Very warm, moist air this afternoon will provide fuel for the development of potentially strong, damaging winds, large hail and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning. Flooding could also be a concern with slow moving thunderstorms.
Up to three inches of rain will be possible, especially in the mountains.
The front will stall over the area tomorrow, keeping chances for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast again for Saturday.
