Bobcats withdraw qualifying offer to Brown

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) -The Charlotte Bobcats have withdrew their qualiyfing offer to forward Derrick Brown Wednesday making him an unrestricted free agent saving the Cats about three million dollars in cap space.

Brown averaged career highs of 8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 65 games last season.

It's the second time in a week the Bobcats have pulled this move. Point guard D.J. Augustin had his qualiyfing offer taken back and the Bobcats immediately turned around and signed free agent point guard Ramon Sessions.

The Bobcats continue summer league play out in Las Vegas Thursday night. So far they have a perfect 3-0 record.
