YORK, SC (WBTV) -
Police in York say two men were assaulted at a club for teens where alcohol was being illegally served Friday.
The incident was reported at the South Lounge located on the 100 block of South Congress Street, according to the report from the York Police Department.
The owner of the club, Joseph Edward Ragni, 25, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, transfer of beer or wine for underage person's consumption and unlawful storage of alcohol, according to police.
The club is a teen club for ages 13-17 where Ragni is the owner.
Two men, ages 22 years old, called the police department stating that they had gone to the club where they were invited to a birthday party by a female.
After entering the lounge area they were asked to leave and then jumped on by approximately 10 males, one being the owner, Ragni. Both men were assaulted and dragged out of the club. EMS responded and treated both men for minor injuries received during the altercation.
Upon investigating the above incident it was determined that alcohol had been inside the club during the party and made available to minors. Photographs of alcohol were taken and witness statements obtained. Several of the statements placed the alcohol in Ragni's possession.
