A single car crash on I-75 north left one person dead and one with life-threatening injuries on Thursday.
According to a police report, a Nissan Altima was driving north on 75 near the 174 mile marker in Walton, Kentucky around 3 p.m.
Police say the car was speeding and veered to both sides before sliding sideways off the road. The car struck a culvert, causing it to go airborne. It then rolled and threw the two passengers out of the car.
Authorities have identified Connie Sutherland, 31 of Salyersville, Kentucky, as the passenger pronounced dead at the scene.
Jonathan Keeton, 29 and also from Salyersville, was flown to University Hospital by Air Care with life-threatening injuries.
Neither were wearing their seatbelt.
Crews have not positively identified which one was driving.
