Memorial Service For Guardsmen

A lot is happening today that we'll tell you about when you join us from 4:30 to 7 AM on WBTV.

A memorial service will be held today in Charlotte for the four Air National Guardsmen who were killed in the C-130 plane crash in South Dakota just over a week ago.  Later this morning, WBTV will provide live coverage of the memorial.

Cam Man Ron Lee has the story of a homicide investigation in north Charlotte.  The body of a woman has been found in Theresa Elder Park...the victim of an apparent gunshot wound.  The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Jim Rogers, the CEO of Duke Energy, is going to be facing some tough questions today from state officials over the merger of Duke and Progress Energy.  That follows the unexpected departure of Progress CEO Bill Johnson.

Did you lose your internet connection yesterday?  A lot of folks did.  We'll have an update on the malware virus that hit across the nation.

A widespread drought that's affecting much of the nation is taking its toll on the nation's corn crop.  We'll tell you which states are being hit hardest.
