Charlotte, NC - (WBTV)
Saturday night, the Charlotte Knights found trouble early, and couldn't come back from early mistakes.
Charlotte starter Charlie leesman gave up 4 runs in the first, and was relieved in the inning by J.R. Ballinger. However, strange things continued on defense in that inning. After a passed ball scored the 5th run, a chance to make a play in foul territory went wrong, and Jeff Baisley was charged with an error. The Norfolk tides batter went on to hit a 2-run home run. The Tides scored a total of 9 runs in the first inning.
The Knights lost 10-6, and have now dropped six of their last seven games.
