Thousands in Mecklenburg County without power this morning…again

LIVE: Many people in south Charlotte had to get through the night powerless – literally! Duke Energy is working to restore power to thousands who went to bed last night with no lights and no air conditioning. We're in close contact with Duke who is going to tell us when people should expect their power to come back on. WBTV's Cam Man Ron Lee is live with the story, and has details on why the power is out again in the first place.

NEW overnight: We know this morning the cause of death of North Carolina's favorite son, Andy Griffith. More on the medical situation that took his life.

Plus, we're hearing from the man who was struck by lightning in Burke County…and lived to tell about it! What he says he felt once the lightning hit.
