'Spies' in the sky are zooming into your house like it or not! - | WBTV Charlotte

'Spies' in the sky are zooming into your house like it or not!

Happy Independence Day!  This is Maureen O'Boyle writing to you from the WBTV newsroom.

We are busy in the First Alert Weather Center tracking a line of storms on Power Doppler radar that could cause firework displays to be a washout.  And if you're not dealing with rain, the heat is ON!  Will these near – record temps keep people out of uptown Charlotte?  Steve Crump is on that story.

How would you like spies in the sky zooming down to an extreme close-up of your home, your private oasis invaded?  It is happening and the sales pitch is it will make life easier, but is it really worth saying so-long to your privacy? We're on your side with a story you can't miss at five.

We've discovered a new program that offers veterans a year of job training in high demand fields at no cost.  Who is eligible for the program and where you can take part.

Come in from the heat and join Paul Cameron, Eric Thomas, me and the rest of the WBTV News team at five!
