MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) – The Cordova teen accused of raping his baby sister was found guilty of the crime.
James Prindle, who was 15 years old arrested, was convicted Friday.
Prindle raped his 23-month-old sister in August 2010.
The case stirred up support from all over the country from people who said he did not have anything to do with his sister's assault.
Investigators say Prindle was babysitting his two younger siblings at their apartment when some other boys came over. The toddler was assaulted and they fabricated a story about a home invasion to cover it up.
The other boys were adjudicated to juvenile court.
When Prindle was brought to court Tuesday to be sentenced, Prindle wanted to speak but was not allowed to.
He will be officially sentenced July 11. If he still wants to address the court, he will be able to do so during that sentencing.
