Police Release Possible Motive in Belmont Neighborhood Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A SWAT standoff in west Charlotte ended peacefully at a home on Prichard Street Saturday afternoon.

Officers were there to serve a warrant for assault. The suspect refused to come out until 90 minutes into the standoff.

The suspect was evaluated by MEDIC. Police say charges will follow.
