Cycling legend Lance Armstrong banned

Hello again friends, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom. 

Tonight at 11:00PM—cycling legend Lance Armstrong has been banned from competing in triathlons because the U-S Anti-Doping Agency is bringing new charges against him.  He could face a lifetime ban and lose his Tour de France titles. 

Now we know why four Democrats sided with Republicans to shoot down the Charlotte city budget, and it all has to do with funding for the proposed light rail blue line.  It's a problem local politicians weren't expecting, but are working feverishly to correct. 

The fight over gay rights continues.  Today, the ACLU filed a lawsuit challenging North Carolina's adoption laws, claiming they are unconstitutional because they prevent unmarried couples, gay or straight, from adopting their partners' children.  Tonight, we're talking to a Charlotte woman who's part of the suit. 

A huge jackpot pushing $250 million is at stake tonight.  We'll show you the winning powerball numbers.
