Marshville, NC (WBTV) -A former local high school athlete is giving back to his community. Dorenzo Hudson, Virginia Tech Hokies' basketball star and recent graduate, is holding a camp at his former high school Forest Hills in Marshville.
The Camp is for rising 4th to 12th graders and it runs for three days from 8:00AM-to 5:00PM.
He has some coaching help from some veterans in the field of basketball, from another Hokies' basketball player to a former Asheville Smokies assistant coach.
Hudson said it's important to show the kids that you can come from a small town and do the things he has done.
The next Dorenzo Hudson basketball camp will be in late August in Charlotte.
