Buyer promises $102 million for foreclosed condos

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A 51-story condo building that has been in flux for the past few years now has a new buyer after it went into foreclosure.

The Vue Charlotte was bought on Tuesday for more than $102 million dollars.

The buyer, a New York-based real estate investment firm called Northwood Investors, launched foreclosure proceedings in May against the limited liability company that owns The Vue.

Northwood secured the senior and junior debt on The Vue in May and won the bid on Tuesday for a total of $102,750,000.

The 408-unit, 51-story condo tower rise from the corner of Fifth and Pine streets in Fourth Ward.
