Man turns room into Dolly Parton museum

CHERRYVILLE, NC (WBTV) - From the outside of Solomon Willis' home, all looks pretty normal.Even after you step in the front door, it looks like the average home.

But step into his bedroom and you'll see, there's not much room left on the walls. "The first memory I have was '87 watching her show," said Willis about the birth of his love for music legend Dolly Parton.

His collection started with a simple tape of Parton's. Now, his room holds posters, pictures, stand-up cut-outs, dolls, records, and the list just goes on for as far as the eye can see.

The piece he might be most proud of is the Dolly Parton pinball machine. Although there are several pieces of memorabilia he could also call his favorites.

The Cleveland Community College Math Instructor has also decked his entire bathroom out, wall-to-wall with Dolly posters and even Dolly hand towels.

Willis says he will keep growing his collection and hopes one day for more space to turn his thousands of pieces of Dolly Parton memorabilia into a private museum.
