The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says a woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed her estranged husband before biting his private parts.
The incident happened on Saturday. Deputies were called to residence in the 500 block of Utica Place in McDonald's Chapel around 10 a.m. to investigate a burglary and domestic violence. The 29-year-old victim told deputies that he and his wife are separated pending a divorce and he had moved back to his mother's home until the divorce finalized.
According to the victim, he had been asleep with his girlfriend around 9:30 a.m. when his estranged wife entered the residence through a basement door and began hitting him and slapping him as he slept. She then allegedly began stabbing him in the back and arm. The victim says he wrestled the scissors away, but during the struggle, the wife bit him in the groin area and caused injury.
The victim's brother was alerted by the commotion and ordered the wife to leave and she complied. That is when they notified the Sheriff's Office and called for an ambulance.
Deputies say the wife returned to her residence and called the Sheriff's Office to file a complaint against her husband. During the call, she admitted to stabbing her husband while talking to them. She was then arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
28-year-old Tiffany Ronita McGregory was charged with 2nd degree domestic violence assault and 2nd degree burglary. She has bonded out of the jail on a $45,000 bond.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
