CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - An argument between family members winds up with one shot, another on the run early Thursday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police roll out to domestic related calls nearly every night. Mostly, it's just a case of breaking up disagreements between family members.
Rarely, is anybody shot over an argument, but this was one of those rare occasions.
The CMPD said around 1am, two family members were involved in a confrontation on gardner Avenue in west Charlotte, although at this point, it's unclear what the fight was about.
Reports are one the people involved produced a shotgun, and pulled the trigger. The victim was hit in the face with bird shot.
The gunman took off before police arrived, and is still on the loose.
Medics checked the victim out, and suggested he go to the hospital for evaluation.
Police said the victim declined, and said he would go to the emergency room on his own, but he never showed up.
