FORT MILL, SC (WBTV) - For the 6th straight time, the Charlotte Knights claimed victory on the baseball field. Today, they beat Rochester 4-1.
Starting pitcher Terry Doyle was the story as he took a no hitter into the 8th inning. He would end up going 7.1 innings giving up just one hit. He would surrender no runs while striking out 3 and walking 2.
Offensively, Ray Olmedo kept his hitting streak alive with a double in the 6th to drive in a run. He has now hit safely in 9 games.
The Knights are now 29-23 and take on Rochester again Tuesday at 7:15 in Fort Mill.
