CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Two men drowned in an east Charlotte pond off Williams Road Saturday night, after their boat apparently capsized.
Police Captain John Williams told WBTV that two men were reported missing around 10:30 Saturday night.
Charlotte firefighters aboard a boat and the department's dive team recovered the body of one man around 11 p.m. The body of a second man was recovered around 1:00 a.m., according to CFD Captain Rob Brisley.
Police has identified the victims as Richard Maple, 64, and Isaiah Norman Macon, 59.
