CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Studies show that nearly 6 million, or 8 %, of children have food allergies. Parents who have children with food allergies know the kind of stress they experience every time a child is at school, a birthday party, a restaurant or anytime they eat.
Dr. Maeve O'Connor visited WBTV News Saturday Morning to talk about the most common food allergies, how to avoid an allergic reaction, and the types of questions parents can ask the people in their child's life to ensure their safety.
