Teacher suspended after classroom political rant

Hello again everyone, it's Paul Cameron in the WBTV newsroom.

Tonight at 5:00PM—a local teacher is off the job after video surfaces of her nine minute classroom political rant.  She tries to silence a student by saying you can't criticize President Obama or you will be arrested.  There's much more on the tape that has upset parents across the country.

A special moment in time for Willie Grimes, 65 years old, who fought his rape conviction and won.  Today, he walked out of prison a free man and we're there to capture it.

We're more than a week away from the official start of hurricane season but Tropical Storm Alberto is paying no attention to the calendar.  It is now reversed its course and headed back toward the Carolina coastline.  No landfall is expected, but our weather is about to feel very, very summer like, according to chief meteorologist Eric Thomas.
