CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - An upper level disturbance moving across the Carolinas will bring severe weather to many communities this evening.
This disturbance, coupled with warm, moist air will result in showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to severe. The most likely threats from these storms will be large hail and damaging straight-line winds in excess of 60 mph. With all the rain we've seen over the past few days heavy downpours could cause flash flooding as well.
The areas most likely to see these severe storms will be our South Carolina counties and in the mountains.
