Rain Continues To Fall

Keep your umbrella handy!  It's been raining overnight and chances are you'll need that umbrella as you head out the door for your morning commute.  Cam Man Ron Lee has been checking for overnight flooding and will have a live report.  The sun will come up at 6:19 this morning, but you probably won't need your Ray-Bans as we're expecting cloudy skies.  Al Conklin will have specific details of what to expect today in your First Alert weather forecast.

We're working on getting more details about a fatal accident that happened overnight in Union County.  One person was killed...troopers say speed and wet roads were factors in the wreck.

Protests over North Carolina's Amendment One are expected in Charlotte today.  We'll have a live report to give you details on where the protests will be held...and what they're specifically targeting.

North Carolina governor Beverly Perdue isn't backing off her comment about Mississippi regarding the vote on Amendment One.

Mecklenburg County manager Harry Jones will release budget recommendations today.
