LIVE: House catches fire one year after another blaze destroyed it

Good Monday morning! It's May 14. This is Christine Nelson with a quick email on the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning at 4:30 a.m.

We're live at a house fire in southwest Charlotte that has endured quite a year. We went to the scene this morning with firefighters overnight. It's around this time last year this same exact incident happened! What's behind the bizarre turn of events? Cam Man Ron Lee is live with the details he gathered at the scene.

Also, we're looking ahead to what might be an issue for residents in the SouthPark area. There's a proposal to build a five-story hotel. It may not sound bad but others disagree. WBTV's Kristen Hampton will break down why some people will be for and against bringing a hotel to this area.

Plus, the Grier Heights neighborhood has seen its fair share of violence in the last two weeks. The latest crime left a man dead after he was shot multiple times in his vehicle. We have the latest on how close officials are to making an arrest. We also hear from people in the neighborhood about how they plan to come together to stop the violence.

We'll see you on the air!
