CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man is recovering after being shot while sitting in a car early Monday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said investigating the shooting that happened outside Club Luna along North College Street is proving to be difficult.
Even though the area was crowded with people letting out of the bar around 2am, no one reported seeing anything.
Officers responded out to the 600 block of North Tryon Street after getting reports of a person shot in a parking lot.
What they found was an as-of-yet unnamed man with wounds to the face.
Officers believe someone fired several rounds into the back seat of the tan sedan where the victim was sitting.
It's unclear at this point if the victim was actually hit by gunfire, or just cut by the spray of glass that shattered as the round went through it.
The victim was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center, but police say he should make a full recovery.
Several cars were stopped throughout the Center City as police tried to find the shooter. The description is vague, but at last word officials were looking for a red Camero leaving the area.
