CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte is preparing to honor our military heroes with the 2012 Patriot Festival.

Registration is now open for the 5K Patriot Festival Memorial Day May 28 at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall.

Event Executive Director, Kendria Sweet, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the festivities.
