CMPD kept busy with three overnight shootings

CHARLOTTE (WBTV) - Charlotte police are investigating three separate shootings that happened between 2:00 and 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

A man was shot on Seigle Point Drive northeast of uptown around 2:00 a.m. Police say the man was coming home after a night out when two people tried to rob them, then shot him in the torso. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, but is expected to recover. Police are looking for two suspects in a silver 4-door sedan.

Around 4:00 a.m., Police were called to Burkland Drive in the Grier Heights neighborhood. A man was shot and was taken to CMC with what police call life-threatening injuries. Police are looking for a suspect described as having short dreadlocks.

A short time later, police were called to an apartment complex near the intersection of Albemarle Road and East Harris Boulevard.  A man was taken to the hospital from Snow White Lane. Police said he had been shot in the back during a domestic dispute. Police say the victim is in stable condition.
