CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital after losing control of his bike early Tuesday morning.
The motorcycle, as well as the rider were in about the same condition: both were scraped up, but both should be okay.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the rider was coming from I-77 merging onto the Brookshire Freeway just outside of the Center City around 1am, when he lost control and skidded to a stop on his side.
His injuries were described as "road rash".
He was taken in by Medic to be checked out at a local hospital, but should make a full recovery according to officials on scene.
As for the high-powered motorcycle he was riding, it suffered some scrapes on the right-hand side, and was towed away for repair.
