Happening Today: Parents to meet with DA to seek charges in daughter's shooting death

Good morning! It's Christine Nelson on this Wednesday, April 25. I finished talking to producers and going over the rundown. So here's a quick email about some of the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning at 4:30 a.m.

Top Story: In a matter of hours the parents of Jasmine Thar will be going on a 3-hour drive, hoping to seek justice in their daughter's death. Thar was the Ardrey Kell High School student shot to death, and the man who shot her says he was cleaning his gun when it accidentally went off. Cam Man Ron Lee is live with more on exactly who her parents will be meeting with.

Lots of rain is coming down in some parts of our area in the 4 a.m. hour. Meteorologist Al Conklin will pinpoint who should be expecting a wet morning and Tonya Rivens has details on what will be a wet commute.

Every week we're on your side helping get problems solved in your neighborhood in our See, Click, Fix reports. In this morning's report John Carter is "covering up" an issue neighbors say is a danger in their community.

Plus, our Kristen Hampton has the "feel good" story of the morning! How patients fighting serious diseases is finding comfort in a local parking attendant.

See you on the air!
