CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Pet Palooza is the Humane Society of Charlotte's largest annual fundraiser. It's expected to draw thousands of people to Independence Park on Saturday May 5th.
There will be a 5K run, a dog walk, entertainment and a vendor fair. There's also a dog fashion show.
The money raised from the event in 2011 was used to help find homes for more than two thousand animals, provide low-cost spay and neuter services to 10,000 pets, and host two low-cost vaccine clinics.
Melissa Knicely from CMPD's Animal Care and Control visited WBTV News Saturday Morning to talk about the event. You can learn more by clicking here.
