ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - A Virginia man is accused of exposing himself to two families using a hotel swimming pool in Rock Hill.

According to police, 47-year-old David Wilkins, of Lynchburg, Va., was been charged with indecent exposure on Wednesday. Police say Wilkins walked into the fitness area at the Comfort Suites on Old Springdale Road round 8 p.m. Wednesday night and began watching the two families.

One woman told police that she could see Wilkins through the fitness area's window. Police say the other woman reported seeing him touching himself.

That's when the two families reportedly confronted the man and found him with an iPhone. They told officers they believed he was taking pictures of them.

A husband of one of the women held Wilkins until police could arrive.

Wilkins told officers it was a misunderstanding, and the women had only seen him adjust himself.

Wilkins's past records show he has five previous convictions for indecent exposure dating back to 1985.
