Pedestrian Struck; Surprise Vote About Hospital; Davidson Wins SoCon; John Carter Movie Passes Giveaway

Good morning to you on this Tuesday, March 6, from the WBTV News morning show team...John Carter reporting to you this morning.

A lot has been happening that we'll tell you about beginning at 4:30.

First, several school districts are on delays this morning due to frigid weather conditions.

We have a story out of Shelby where a pedestrian was hit by a car overnight.

A surprise vote in Huntersville about a proposed mental health hospital...we have overnight reaction.

President Obama is coming to visit Gaston County...we'll have details about where he'll be and what he'll talk about.

Today is Super Tuesday...voters in ten states are going to the polls.

A big college basketball game...Davidson and Western Carolina go into double-overtime for the Southern Conference title.  Plus...a big upset in another conference championship!

    Sports Illustrated reported Sunday that at least four former Carolina Panthers employees have received “significant” monetary settlements as a result of inappropriate workplace comments and conduct by owner Jerry Richardson.

    A truck crashed into a power pole Sunday afternoon in west Charlotte near a gas station. Officials say the truck crashed into a pole causing another pole to snap on Wilkinson Boulevard. The incident occurred around 12 p.m. near the QuikTrip gas station.
