Two people are dead and six hurt after a tornado hit Holton, IN.
Police are confirming 59 year old Ron Pickett who is a married with one son and Armando Hernandez who is in his 20's from Mexico who was visiting friends in Ripley County have both died. Six others are hurt, two critically.
A shelter has been set up at the South Ripley Elementary School on Benham Road for those affected by the storms. The Holton volunteer fire department was helped by the Versailles department, Ripley County department and the Decatur County department.
The Town of Henryville in Clark County approximately 15-20 miles north of Louisville, KY was described as being "blown off the map" and at this time we have no information on injuries or fatalities.
There will be a law enforcement presence in the Holton area overnight to maintain security and in the morning those residents who suffered serious damage to their homes may be allowed back into the area to assess damage and recover whatever personal items may not have been blown away during the tornado.
