Fire in north Charlotte caused by arson

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte fire investigators need your help to solve a Sunday morning arson in north Charlotte.

Firefighters were called to Glory Street at West Sugar Creek Road around 2:30 Sunday morning.

A storage building once used as a barn and small home were set on fire. Both buildings were vacant.

CFD Capt. Mark Basnight says it took 27 firefighters more than 20 minutes to get the flames under control. The storage building was a total loss, and damage to the home was set at $10,000.
