SHELBY, NC (WBTV) - Last weekend, Shelby swimmer Matt Long won 2 state titles and set a classification record in the 100 Butterfly and the 200 Freestyle at the 1A-2A level.
Long will take his swimming talents and his 3.9 GPA to Auburn next season on a swimming scholarship.
He's been in the pool most of his life in Miami, Florida, but transferred in to Shelby for his senior season and in his one year has made a HUGE impact on a very young Golden Lions swim team.
