See, Click, Fix UPDATE: Sidewalk on schedule to be repaired

Posted: Updated:

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) - We take you to Sudbury Road in Charlotte, home of Windsor Park Elementary School. But viewers are giving parts of the sidewalk surrounding the school a failing grade.

Nancy writes on our See, Click, Fix page at,"The sidewalk is torn up in two places....Someone is going to get hurt if these places are not fixed."

Some big cracks could be seen at the first spot we saw. But the worst of it is further down where there were so many cracks the sidewalk appears to be shattered like glass.

"I think it's safe to say this needs repair," says WBTV's Christine Nelson.

We noticed white, spray-painted arrows surrounding both problem spots which led us to believe someone was already on the case.

We reached out to the Charlotte Department of Transportation and our suspicions were right. CDOT has the sidewalk scheduled for repair on Feb 21 or 22, weather permitting.

News that will make neighborhood walkers happy whether you have two legs... Or four...

UPDATE: The week of February 20, CDOT crews put fresh cement down and repaired the damaged sidewalk.
