CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Two vehicles collided head on in a wreck in northern Mecklenburg County around 2:30 pm Tuesday.
The incident happened on a two-lane road near the intersection of Eastfield Road and Browne Road, which is right where last leg of I-485 will cut through.
The wreck involved a silver minivan and a burgandy pick-up truck and injured 3 people, MEDIC said in a statement to media.
A medical helicopter landed in a nearby farm field to rush one person to an area hospital.
Medic paramedics are treating two patients of which one patient has injuries described as life threatening and the other patient has injuries described as potentially life threatening.
Both will be transported to CMC main.
The third patient is being treated and transported by Med Center Air, MEDIC said.
