SHELBY, NC (WBTV) - Three men were charged with murder Tuesday in a 17-year-old Cleveland County cold case.

Charlene Simons was murdered on June 21, 1995 during an armed robbery at the Log Cabin on 1208 South Battleground Road in Kings Mountain, according to a news release from the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

The three men charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy are:

William Earl Huffstetler, 37, of Brull Street in Blacksburg, South Carolina.
Randy Michael Wagenknect, 40, of Jourolman Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Gator Walter Martin, 42, of Roy Woods Road in Comer, Georgia.

Huffstetler and Martin are being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center with no bond, according to the release.

Martin was arrested in Georgia and waived extradition.

Wagneknect is currently in custody in Knoxville awaiting extradition to Cleveland County.
