CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Southbound traffic on Interstate 85 was completely shut down following an accident involving two tractor trailers Monday morning.
It happened at about 5:30 a.m. Monday near the Sam Wilson Road exit, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol.
One person was killed in the accident.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said two of four lanes were opened by 8 a.m. All lanes were open by 9:45 a.m.
