Violence concerns local Syrian-American community

Posted: Updated:

CHARLOTTE (WBTV) - The Syrian-American Council in Charlotte claims more than 10-thousand people in the Charlotte area as part of their community so as you can imagine, violence in their home country, halfway across the world, affects this community deeply.

The President of the Charlotte chapter says Russia and China are in the wrong - and should stand with justice, not with regimes of terror.

Mo Idlibby is the president of the local council. "The absolute worst form of terrorism is one in which a government who is supposed to serve, protect and defend its own people - engages in murdering its own people."  Idlibby also said the Syrian-American community wants U-S lawmakers to act in defense of Syria.
