CHARLOTTE (WBTV) - One person was taken to the hospital after a crash on John Belk Freeway at East Independence Boulevard.
Police on the scene said a driver lost control, left the road and rolled down an embankment. It happened just after 4:00 Sunday morning. The driver was trapped in the car for a short time, but was rescued and taken the hospital.
The extent of that person's injuries aren't known.
No other cars were in involved.
The road in that area was closed down for about 45 minutes.
