ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - This weeks On the Road takes us to Rock Hill for a little serenity. Glencairn Garden is a place where nature comes alive and beauty is everywhere you turn. From the singing birds to the bounty of trees, flowers, and blooming bushes that line the garden.
"We're trying to make it beautiful 4 seasons of the year, our biggest bloom season is spring," said Whitner Harris, a supervisor and horticulturalist at Glencairn. She says work goes into the garden not just in the blooming months of spring and summer, but year-round.
Spring is the peak of the beautiful colors you can see a the garden, but beauty is there all year. Many people come to the garden to relax on the provided benches, some choose to get married there.
Whatever the reason for the visit, it's a place you just have to see to understand.
