INDIAN LAND, SC (WBTV) - A man dressed in a suit and tie and carrying a note tried to rob an Indian Land bank on Friday afternoon, deputies said.
The incident with the well-dressed bank robber happened at 4 pm when the man, in his 40s, walked into the TD Bank at 8179 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster County Sheriff's officials said.
"The suspect produced a note that demanded money," deputies said in a press release. "The teller refused to give the suspect money and the suspect fled the store empty handed. "
The man was in a business suit with a colorful tie, but also had "a bandage or band aids on the right side of his face," deputies said.
The man was also wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, deputies said.
No one was hurt in the incident. Criminal Investigators from the sheriff's department are now starting a detailed investigation.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information on the identity or location of those responsible for this or any crimes in the Lancaster area to call the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office at 283-4136.
