CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Prepare yourself for another round of designer clothes at prices most of us CAN afford. It's happening again at Target.
On Sunday, February 5th, a big-name designer who dresses celebrities will release a limited edition clothing line at the big box retailer.
Some stores in certain areas do expect lines outside the building. Customers have learned when Target says limited edition, the company really means it.
Wu dressed actresses Michelle Williams and Zoe Saldana for the Golden Globes this year. he first caught attention after he designed First Lady Michelle Obama's inaugural gown.
Now Jason Wu is about will unleash his talent on Target in a line of clothes, shoes, and accessories which cost between $20 and $60.
This isn't the first time a major designer has done this. There was Missoni Madness back in September. That's when the Italian designer's limited edition collection flew off store shelves. It sold out in hours in Charlotte and customers crashed the company's website.
Staff in the stores in and around Charlotte are prepared for the rush. While every area Target store will have some of the line, not every store will have it all. Odds are good that the bigger stores will have the widest selection. If your plan was to go to an out-of-the-way Target hoping to avoid crowds just know that you just might not have as many options to choose from.
The collection will be in stores through March 6th or until supplies last. It goes on sale at 8am Sunday, February 5th.
