Two charged in deadly Chinese restaurant armed robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police in Charlotte have arrested a second man and charged him with shooting and killing a restaurant employee during a robbery in east Charlotte.

Police were called to the Fast Wok along the 7000 block of East WT Harris Boulevard and to the report of a deadly robbery. It happened around 8:17 p.m. Sunday January 15.

According to police, 52-year-old Edward Rosen, an employee at the Fast Wok, was shot in the chest and died nearly an hour later at the hospital.

A suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Briley Belk IV, then ran from the restaurant and was seen getting into a two-door burgundy Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible, with a black top.

Friday, CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Kendrick Tabb, 23, and charged him with murder too.

Police say the business was open at the time of the deadly shooting and they interviewed patrons.

Belk was arrested on January 20, 2012 and charged with the Armed Robbery and Murder of Rosen.

The Burgundy, Convertible Chrysler PT Cruiser used in the deadly robbery was also located and seized.
