CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Tuesday night the temperatures in the North Carolina Piedmont were hovering in the 20's with wind chills into the teens. Friday afternoon, the high reached 64 degrees. Maybe 64 isn't pool party weather, but it's enough to break up the winter and make the cold months more bearable.
We stopped by Dairy Queen on Wilkinson Boulevard and found dozens of people lined up for chilly treats. While January doesn't usually bring big business for ice cream shops, this month could be different.
We talked to several people about their feelings on the weather. Check out the story to see why the fickle nature of Mother Nature might not be so bad.
